Sharing the wealth

I've been exploring acrylics and this one got particularly good reviews. No intention other than to use different tools (a rock I found in the parking lot, walnut ink, palette knife, credit card, rags, my fingers - of the non-dominant hand) and a limited palette of primary colors.

The pandemic has caused me to reflect on who I am and where I'm going as well as ponder the welfare of friends,  old and new. When one of my dearest friends expressed what seemed like whole-hearted approval of this piece,  I got his address and will send it to him next week. My only wish was that he donate to his favorite charity in return. Trying to pay it forward, because I can. I  haven't experienced all the angst that has flooded the world. No job loss, no kids out of school, no going stir-crazy (I am by nature, an introvert).

Meanwhile, I'm learning not to compare and despair when I work, or clutch things to my heart that i find precious. As in my last post, no thinky, thinky. Here are a few more exercises on board and paper.
